Camp Rock is back with a new generation of talent and familiar faces in a third instalment promising both excitement and musical nostalgia.
Disney has confirmed it: Camp Rock 3 is underway and set to win over a new generation. Production is already rolling in Vancouver, with the release slated for both Disney+ and Disney Channel. A perfect blend of nostalgia and renewal.
“Camp Rock is a fundamental part of the legacy of Disney Channel Original Movies, with unforgettable music, energetic stories and characters that still live in the hearts of fans,” said Ayo Davis, president of Disney Branded Television. “Bringing it back with Kevin, Joe, Nick and Demi is a very special moment.”
The Jonas Brothers —Nick, Joe and Kevin— reprise their roles as Nate, Shane and Jason Gray (the band Connect 3), while Demi Lovato returns as executive producer, though for now she is not part of the confirmed cast.
The story begins when Connect 3 lose their opening act for a reunion tour and decide to return to the beloved ‘Camp Rock‘ to discover the next big star. There, a new group of campers will compete for the chance to open their shows. But it won’t be easy: tensions, unexpected alliances and new romances shape the journey ahead.
Among the new additions to the cast are:
- Liamani Segura as Sage, brave and determined, known from High School Musical: The Musical: The Series and Descendants: Wicked Wonderland.
- Malachi Barton as Fletch, the camp’s rebel, fresh from Zombies 4 and the Descendants/Zombies: Worlds Collide Tour.
- Hudson Stone as Desi, Sage’s laid-back brother.
- Casey Trotter as Cliff, a drummer with his own rhythm.
- Brooklynn Pitts as Callie, the choreography queen.
- Ava Jean as Madison, an intimidating influencer.
- Sherry Cola, from Good Trouble, as Lark in a yet-to-be-revealed role.
The film is directed by Veronica Rodriguez (The Slumber Party), with a script by Eydie Faye. Choreography is by Jamal Sims (Descendants), while the executive production team includes Tim Federle (HSMTMTS), Gary Marsh, Betsy Sullenger and Spencer Berman.
With this comeback, ‘Camp Rock 3‘ positions itself as one of Disney’s most anticipated titles, where music, competition and youthful passion shine once again.
