WayV returns this winter with ‘Eternal White’, a special album that showcases their vocal maturity and an ambitious emotional sound palette.

The Chinese group WayV, one of the most acclaimed units of NCT, releases their first Winter Special Album under the title ‘Eternal White’, a seven-track project crafted to accompany the winter season with a refined blend of R&B, elegant dance-pop and symphonic-leaning ballads.

The title track, ‘Eternal White’, produced by British artist Shift K3y — known for his work with aespa and Becky Hill — features a contagious pulse built on saxophone riffs and an energetic rhythmic foundation, over which the group’s emotional vocals and striking rap sections unfold. The song serves as a vibrant entry into the wintry universe of this new project.

The album opens with ‘The Fifth Season’, an a cappella introduction highlighting the impeccable harmonies of KUN, TEN, XIAOJUN, HENDERY and YANGYANG. The track is penned by renowned British songwriters such as MNEK, Tre-Jean Marie and Ryan Ashley, frequent collaborators of groups like Little Mix and FLO.

A nocturnal atmosphere arises with ‘Moment In Time’, produced by LDN Noise, long-standing collaborators within the NCT ecosystem, blending mid-tempo R&B with deep bass lines and an immersive production that directly appeals to fans of ‘Love Talk’.

In ‘First Time’, KUN himself takes charge of the composition and arrangement, offering a mid-tempo romantic piece, while ‘Strange Tears’ adopts an introspective angle, exploring personal growth through confronting one’s inner contradictions.

‘Stay’, the only song entirely in English, is co-written by Dem Jointz and Leon Thomas, delivering a tense narrative about relationships on the brink, marked by polished and emotionally intricate production.

The album closes with ‘Lover After Me’, a grand symphonic ballad fusing classical instrumentation with modern pop sensibility, showing WayV at their most vulnerable. The lyrics express regret after a relationship’s end, paired with a final wish for the other person’s happiness.

‘Eternal White’ follows the success of the mini-album ‘BIG BANDS’, a sales leader on QQ Music and a Top 10 entry on iTunes in 16 countries, consolidating a period of strong international momentum reinforced by the ‘NO Way OUT’ tour, which opened with two sold-out concerts in Seoul before continuing through Japan, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Thailand.
