The alliance between Chappell Roan and MAC Cosmetics elevates contemporary beauty with a powerful, diverse and deeply authentic artistic vision.

The arrival of Chappell Roan as the new global ambassador of MAC marks a decisive moment for the beauty industry. The artist, now one of the cultural phenomena of the year, strengthens her bond with the brand after wearing its products in iconic appearances such as the Grammys and the VMAs, where her bold aesthetic established her as an undeniable reference of style and attitude.

Her selection is no coincidence. Roan’s artistic voice, profoundly linked to the LGBTQIA+ community, aligns perfectly with the philosophy of MAC Cosmetics, a brand that has long defended free expression, boundless artistry and diversity as a non-negotiable hallmark. In the singer’s words, collaborating with MAC represents “an emotional full circle”, a partnership with a house that has always supported queer identities, drag culture and the most radical forms of personal expression.

Nicola Formichetti, the new creative director of MAC, highlights that Roan embodies “a generation that values authenticity, queer joy and fearless self-expression”, principles that have defined the brand since its origins and now find in the artist a face fully aligned with its global mission.

Their first project together takes this vision to the next level: a campaign inspired by film noir, conceived by makeup artist Andrew Dahling, fusing 1930s military aesthetics with Roan’s signature drama. On her iconic pale skin, Dahling creates a sharp look with thin brows, cool-toned shadows and metallic-sheen lashes — a composition he describes as “a modern vision of androgyny, powerful and absolutely unmistakable”.

With this alliance, MAC and Chappell Roan open a new chapter in which beauty once again becomes a tool for identity, empowerment and cultural storytelling. A collaboration poised to transcend campaigns and become a generational symbol of creative freedom.
