Louis Vuitton and J-Hope introduce the LV Buttersoft Sneaker, a soft suede design with hidden details and a distinct 2000s-inspired identity.
J-Hope and Louis Vuitton have officially launched the J-Hope x Louis Vuitton LV Buttersoft Sneaker, a collaboration shaped under the creative direction of Pharrell Williams, the maison’s menswear creative director. Presented in a soft pink and white colourway, the design draws on a 2000s-inspired silhouette and was originally conceived as a custom piece to accompany the BTS member throughout his world tour.
The sneaker merges the ease of a runner-style trainer with the refined craftsmanship associated with Louis Vuitton. Built on a flexible, layered rubber sole, the upper is crafted from ultra-soft calf suede, offering both comfort and durability. Hand-painted and stitched details elevate the finish, while leather reinforcements on the toe and heel echo the signature construction seen in the house’s iconic luggage and handbags. Beneath the tongue, a textile label inspired by the Speedy P9 bag further strengthens the connection to the brand’s heritage.

Beyond its materiality, the design reflects J-Hope’s personal identity and his relationship with fans. The wide woven laces feature the phrase “Your, My Hope”, a direct nod to his stage name and optimistic outlook. A leather patch on the tongue is embossed with the capsule logo, the Louis Vuitton Paris signature, and the artist’s name, reinforcing the collaborative essence of the piece.
One of the most distinctive elements remains hidden from plain sight: a series of squirrel and acorn emblems tucked beneath the heel reinforcement. This subtle detail transforms the sneaker into something more intimate, designed not only as a fashion statement but also as an emotional connection for those who follow the artist’s journey.
First revealed in December 2025, the J-Hope x Louis Vuitton LV Buttersoft Sneaker is set for a global release on 30 April, marking one of the most anticipated drops at the intersection of luxury fashion and music culture.
