The Maison Margiela piece, part of the fashion house’s women’s collection, features black tile inlays and is described as one-of-a-kind.

The seller has made the mask available to the public on the Grailed platform and has assured that the piece worn by Kanye West in 2013 is authentic and will not respond to low bids due to the high demand it has received.

Despite its striking appearance, the mask is easy to pierce as its black silk gauze base is embroidered in a way that allows you to see through the fabric.

In a statement, Maison Martin Margiela stated that it worked in collaboration with Kanye West to reinterpret some of the brand’s iconic pieces in a stage wardrobe. The brand stressed that it does not pay attention to what is said about it in the press, but rather focuses on what can be done with its designs.

According to Kanye, he put on the mask so viewers could focus on the art and not his face. In an alleged email conversation posted by the seller, it is claimed that the product has been authenticated by the Margiela team and that Grailed has included it among its “Staff Picks”.
