On June 1st, Chanel presented its “Métiers d’Art” collection in the city of Tokyo.

With this collection imagined by Virginie Viard, the French fashion house unveils its fifth exclusive episode produced by students from the Kourtrajmé school. In this teaser, they introduce the actress and brand ambassador, Nana Komatsu, as she travels from Dakar to Tokyo.

The journey begins in three cultural and artistic capitals, starting with Paris, followed by Dakar, and concluding between the iconic Tokyo Skytree and the frenzy of the Shibuya district.

Nana Komatsu reappears wearing an embroidered tweed jacket as an invitation to discover the fashion show.

It is worth noting that Métiers d’Art was an initiative started by Karl Lagerfeld and is currently being continued by Virginie Viard. As a result of the collaboration between Virginie Viard, director Ladj Ly, and the students from the Kourtrajmé school, we are presented with a documentary divided into four videos filmed in Dakar, the Chanel Creation Studio on Rue Cambon, and the Maison d’art workshops at 19M in Paris.
