Zara is joining the Barbiecore phenomenon with a capsule collection and pop-up spaces ahead of the upcoming worldwide release of the Barbie movie, scheduled from 19th to 21st July 2023.

The flagship fashion brand of the Spanish Inditex Group announced its collaboration by launching a comprehensive official capsule collection inspired by the film starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling.

The collection will include a wide range of clothing for both men and women, from everyday wear to pajamas, swimwear, and intimate fashion, along with a selection of accessories such as sunglasses, jewelry, hats, scarves, towels, boots, sneakers, and sandals.

In addition to the fashion collection, Zara Beauty will also release cosmetic items, and Zara Home will offer a capsule of home products. All these products will be available from yesterday, 17th July, on Zara’s official online store and in selected stores worldwide.

The collection will feature looks inspired by the movie’s styles, such as Barbie’s pink gingham dress and Ken’s cowboy look. To complement the collection’s launch, Zara will open two pop-up experiences in Paris and New York from 17th to 30th July. These ephemeral spaces will feature a life-size version of the “Barbie Dreamhouse,” complete with a full-size dressing room and an interactive vending machine to spin and view the collection’s products. Scenes from Barbie’s digital universe will also be displayed on screens to create an immersive experience.

With this collaboration, Zara aims to offer Barbie fans a unique experience that combines fashion and entertainment, and joins the global Barbie phenomenon that is gaining increasing popularity. The capsule collection and pop-up spaces will be an opportunity for followers of the iconic doll to immerse themselves in the magical world of “Barbieland” while enjoying the latest fashion trends from Zara.
