Netflix has unveiled the official trailer for its upcoming South Korean thriller film, “Ballerina,” featuring Jeon Jong-seo, known for her role in “Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area.” The film, directed by Lee Chung-hyun of “The Call” fame, promises a gripping tale of revenge and retribution. Set to premiere on October 6, “Ballerina” has already generated significant anticipation, and its world debut will take place at the 28th Busan International Film Festival on October 5.


Plot Synopsis

In “Ballerina,” Jeon Jong-seo takes on the role of Ok-ju, a former bodyguard on a relentless path of vengeance. Her mission: to hunt down Choi Pro, portrayed by Kim Ji-hoon of “Money Heist: Korea,” the man responsible for the tragic death of her close friend, Min-hee, a ballerina played by Park Yu-rim of “Miraculous Brothers.”

The film’s trailer sets a somber tone with Ok-ju’s voiceover sharing the heart-wrenching news of Min-hee’s demise. She receives a mysterious package from her late friend, containing a note that implores her to seek revenge. This moment sets the stage for an intense and suspenseful narrative.

“Ballerina,” directed by Lee Chung-hyun, is scheduled to premiere on Netflix on October 6. Prior to its worldwide release, the film will make its debut at the prestigious 28th Busan International Film Festival, running from October 4 to October 13 at the Busan Cinema Center.
