Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck confess emotional aftermath of their past relationships, revealing post-traumatic stress disorder in a recent interview.
Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck, a couple whose love story began in 2002 and officially rekindled their engagement in 2022, confess that their past separations have left emotional scars. The singer revealed in a teaser for her upcoming movie that her album and film, “This Is Me… Now,” will explore various facets of their love life, generating anxiety for both.
The 2004 breakup, attributed to “excessive media attention,” according to the star of “Enough,” resulted in what Lopez describes as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) for both of them. However, she emphasized that time and experience have granted them wisdom. “We know what is truly important in life, not so much what others think, but staying true to ourselves,” she affirmed.
During their separation, Affleck and Lopez entered into marriages with other partners, but fate brought them back together. Their wedding in Las Vegas in 2022, according to Lopez, was a dream come true. Proud to take on the Affleck surname, she considers it a “traditional” gesture reflecting their union. While some may view this act as conventional, she maintains, “My legal name will be Mrs. Affleck because we are united.” She concluded her message with an affirmation of real love, emphasizing that in marriage, the only thing that matters is the commitment to love, understand, and be good to each other.
