Director James Gunn has unveiled the long-awaited official look of the new Superman suit, offering fans an exciting peek at the Man of Steel. Through Instagram, Gunn shared the first image of actor David Corenswet as the new Superman, thus providing a preview of what viewers can expect in the upcoming DC Universe. At first glance, fans may notice that the suit is noticeably worn and weathered, suggesting intense action scenes in which Superman has been involved. Gunn stated in Threads: “The above photo was taken on set by Jess Miglio and was entirely in-camera.”
This will be Corenswet’s first leading role in a major Hollywood production. He is known for his supporting roles in Ryan Murphy’s Netflix series such as “The Politician” and “Hollywood.” Rachel Brosnahan portrays Lois Lane, while Nicholas Hoult is set to embody the villain Lex Luthor. Other notable cast members include Skyler Gisondo (Jimmy Olsen), Anthony Carrigan (Metamorpho), Edi Gathegi (Mister Terrific), Nathan Fillion (Guy Gardner), and Isabela Merced (Hawkgirl).
