Louis Vuitton has launched its new 2024 High Jewelry collection, titled “Awakened Hands, Awakened Minds.” The collection, fronted by brand ambassador Ana de Armas, blends the opulence of fine jewelry with the innovative spirit of 19th-century France.
Inspired by the creative freedom of French artisans following the fall of the monarchy, the collection pays homage to the revival of craftsmanship in fields such as cabinetry, textiles, and jewelry. Louis Vuitton, who arrived in Paris in 1837, witnessed this vibrant era, which deeply influenced the design of its iconic trunks.
Under the artistic direction of Francesca Amfitheatrof, each piece in this collection reflects the grandeur and bold vision of the period. The Splendeur necklace, adorned with 52 rubies, captures the essence of imperial ornaments. Pieces like Séduction and Phenomenal highlight the richness of 19th-century textiles, while Elegance incorporates the art of tremblant, shimmering with movement.
The “Awakened Minds” segment celebrates the 19th century’s industrialization through modern geometric designs. Perception and Coeur de Paris, the latter inspired by the Eiffel Tower, symbolize the transition towards modernity with dazzling diamonds and sapphires.
This collection not only encapsulates Louis Vuitton’s legacy but also redefines contemporary luxury.
