Nicolás Furtado, a Uruguayan actor known for standout performances in series like ‘El marginal’, now stars in ‘Goyo’, exploring neurodiversity with sensitivity.

Nicolás Furtado was born on February 6, 1988, in Montevideo, Uruguay. He began his acting career while studying, honing his skills in acting workshops. In 2008, he graduated from the Actor’s School in Montevideo, obtaining his degree.

Acting Career Rise: From Montevideo to Buenos Aires

His first significant role came in 2008 in the feature film ‘Masangeles’, where he played Santiago Saravia. In 2011, he appeared in the television series ‘Maltratadas’, portraying Emiliano. During that year, he also acted in ‘Porque te quiero así’ and ‘Dance!, la fuerza del corazón’. It was during the filming of the latter that he met a producer from ‘Dulce amor’, an Argentine telenovela, which led him to move to Argentina.

He decided to settle in Argentina to further his burgeoning career. In 2012, he joined the cast of the second season of ‘Terra ribelle’ as Angiolino. By 2013, he ventured into theater with ‘Descuidistas’ and also starred in Manuel Facal’s film ‘Relocos y repasados’.

International Consolidation and Recognition

In 2014, he played Máximo in ‘Somos familia’. In 2016, he portrayed Diosito in ‘El marginal’, one of his early roles streamed on Netflix, earning him several international awards. That same year, he was part of the cast of ‘Educando a Nina’ as El Bicho, and later appeared in ‘Fanny, la fan’.

In 2021, he joined the biographical series ‘Maradona, sueño bendito’, playing Daniel Pasarella.

Personal Life: Relationship with Ester Expósito

One of his recent projects in 2024 was starring alongside Spanish actress Ester Expósito in the miniseries ‘Bandidos’. Regarding his personal life, his romance with Expósito began in 2021, confirmed after they were seen affectionate together at the Ave station in Madrid through a series of photos. They made their relationship official a week later but maintained discretion.

The couple decided to part ways after two years due to distance and demanding schedules, though they remain friends and still follow each other on social media. Following their breakup, both focused on their individual projects and professional commitments.
