Kit Harington Reflects on the Ending of ‘Game of Thrones‘ and the Mistakes Made Due to Team Fatigue
Kit Harington, known for his iconic role as Jon Snow in ‘Game of Thrones‘, has openly discussed the controversial ending of the series in a recent interview with GQ. Five years after the final season aired, Harington reflected on what many consider a rushed conclusion. The actor admitted that while he understands the criticism, the team was extremely exhausted, which affected the development of the finale. “I think if there was any mistake in the end of GOT, it was that we were all so tired we couldn’t continue. I understand that some people think it was rushed, and I might agree with them,” he confessed.
Additionally, Harington mentioned that the accumulated fatigue after eight seasons of filming influenced some narrative decisions that didn’t quite work out. Regarding the spin-off titled Snow, which would have continued his character’s story, he revealed that although it was in development for years, it ultimately didn’t come to fruition. “If we had kept developing it, we might have ended up with something that wasn’t good. And that’s the last thing we all wanted.”
Despite these challenges, Harington has moved on to new projects, including his recent role in HBO’s ‘Industry‘, where he plays the CEO of a green technology company.
