Anthony Vaccarello reinvents the legacy of Saint Laurent for Spring 2025, blending ’80s nostalgia with modern, sophisticated versatility.

Anthony Vaccarello unveiled his Saint Laurent Spring 2025 collection with a show that celebrated the essence of the house founded by Yves Saint Laurent. The runway, set at the brand’s headquarters on Rue de Bellechasse, Paris, offered a mix of iconic references from the ’80s and ’90s, fused with contemporary style.

The designer explored the versatility of the Saint Laurent woman, from loose masculine suits with ties to bohemian dresses and ornate brocade jackets. This multi-faceted approach allowed for a rich narrative that reflected the complexity and elegance of the modern woman. Luxurious fabrics and silhouettes defined by strong shoulders, leather coats, and flowing paisley chiffon skirts added a touch of timeless sophistication that has been missing from the house’s recent collections.

In a clear tribute to Yves Saint Laurent’s vision, Vaccarello showcased double-breasted suits and looks reminiscent of the carefree attitude of his muse, Loulou de la Falaise. The show was also a celebration of enduring relationships with iconic models, whose names were used to title each look of the collection.

With this collection, Vaccarello reaffirmed Saint Laurent’s legacy, maintaining its relevance and elegance in contemporary fashion.
