Rabanne presents its Spring 2025 collection with a mix of textures and contrasts, blending ephemeral luxury with bold silhouettes.

For Spring 2025, Rabanne explored a fascinating balance between hardness and delicacy under the creative direction of Julien Dossena. The collection stood out for its mixture of textures and daring silhouettes, but it was a mini dress covered in gold leaf that stole the show. The garment, shedding delicate golden flakes as it moved, evoked a sense of ephemeral luxury, captivating the audience at the Palais de Tokyo.

Dossena commented that the intention was to convey a sense of opulence impossible to achieve with pure gold, opting for a modern and poetic interpretation. The dress was paired with a golden Nano bag from 1969, created in collaboration with the Arthus Bertrand craft house.

The collection was based on the contrast of hard and soft elements: rigid and metallic fabrics combined with pastel tones and relaxed cuts. One of the season’s references was the 1995 film Safe, inspiring a concept of “body wrapping” that translated into complex layers of overlapping fabrics.

Evening dresses, now reinterpreted, featured touches of gold and silver leaf in angular shapes and structured silhouettes, reflecting the combination of softness and strength that defined the entire house’s proposal.
