The collaboration between AVAVAV and Adidas, was presented during Milan Fashion Week for the SS25, stands out for its ironic and experimental approach. Under the creative direction of Beate Karlsson, AVAVAV has gained a reputation for fusing humor, chaos and social criticism with the world of fashion, and this partnership with Adidas is no exception.
The models made appearances in a sort of sports parody, trying to break speed records while wearing impossible items, such as Adidas Superstar sneakers combined with AVAVAV‘s iconic finger ankle boots. One of the most notable bets of the collection was the combination of sports and disruptive aesthetics, where Karlsson mixed anatomical elements and exaggerations of sportswear. The use of garments such as tops painted directly on the bodies of the models added a touch of surrealism to the proposal.
The collaboration also plays with the fusion of the practical and the absurd, represented in pieces such as the modified Adidas sneakers and the reinterpretation of the famous Beckenbauer jacket.
