The collaboration between the clothing brand and the popular vampire saga has caused a sensation on social media platforms like TikTok.
There’s no doubt that the ‘Twilight‘ saga is one of the most well-known in history. Despite more than 15 years having passed since the first film was released, these movies continue to be widely discussed by the public and are a go-to saga that people rewatch when the colder months arrive. Taking advantage of the ‘Twilight’ fan phenomenon, Bershka has decided to launch a collection inspired by the films. Dark colours, black and white image collages, and accessories that bring back the saga’s mysterious and Y2K aesthetic are some of the key elements found in this collaboration. You can find pieces such as top and skirt sets featuring images of Edward and Bella, jumpers with Edward’s face, and pyjama sets with ‘Twilight’ written on the back of the trousers.

Despite the excitement from fans flocking to stores, the reactions on social media have been far from what might have been expected. The clothing items have sparked laughter on platforms like TikTok, where fans have questioned the style of the collection, joking that Bershka knows exactly what it’s doing and referencing the term “hoa hoa season” (a phrase used to describe the cold season when ‘Twilight’ is often rewatched, taken from a song featured in the films). However, the collection has seen incredible success, with many items selling out within days. This raises the question of whether Bershka’s strategy was to create global buzz and sell out quickly.
