The Weeknd is set to debut his upcoming production in 2025, ‘Hurry Up Tomorrow’, a psychological musical thriller starring Jenna Ortega and Barry Keoghan.

The singer and producer The Weeknd is preparing to make his cinematic debut with this new thriller ‘Hurry Up Tomorrow‘, directed by Trey Edward Shults and produced by Lionsgate. The film will also feature Jenna Ortega and Barry Keoghan, and is scheduled for release on 16 May 2025.

Described as a “musically driven psychological thriller,” the film is inspired by The Weeknd’s forthcoming album and tour, which share the same title. The album, slated for release on 24 January 2025, will serve as the final instalment in the artist’s musical trilogy, followingDawn FM(2022) and ‘After Hours (2020). Little is currently known about the film’s plot.

Although this will be The Weeknd’s debut as a leading actor in a feature film, he already has acting experience. He co-created and starred in the HBO series ‘The Idol alongside Euphoriacreator Sam Levinson. He also appeared in the film Uncut Gems’ and lent his voice to an episode of ‘American Dad in 2020.

With a combination of music and psychological suspense, Hurry Up Tomorrow promises to be a milestone in both The Weeknd’s artistic career and contemporary cinema. Fans are already counting down the days to the album’s release in January and the film’s premiere in May 2025.
