Diego Calva, Ana de Armas, Connor Storrie and Sabrina Carpenter were among the best-dressed stars at the Academy Museum Gala 2026.

Hollywood was transformed into a luxury fashion runway once again as the Academy Museum Gala 2026 brought together nearly 200 celebrities in Los Angeles on the evening of 17 October. Now in its sixth edition, the charity event organised by the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures once again proved that its red carpet can rival the world’s most prestigious fashion events.

With Charlize Theron, John Carpenter and Colman Domingo among the evening’s honourees, the gala welcomed actors, musicians and some of the entertainment industry’s most influential figures. From the architectural elegance of Tom Ford to the more contemporary creations of Saint Laurent and LOEWE, these are the nine standout looks selected by Xmag.

1. Charlize Theron: Sheer elegance and Tom Ford sophistication

Charlize Theron opted for a sheer black gown by Tom Ford, featuring a column silhouette and an intricate combination of lace, black beads and grey crystals. The actress, who received the Icon Award during the ceremony, completed her look with Boucheron jewellery, proving that black remains one of the most powerful statements on the red carpet.

2. Sabrina Carpenter: Giorgio Armani Privé’s most sophisticated shade of blue

Sabrina Carpenter moved away from her signature retro-inspired aesthetic with an exclusive creation by Giorgio Armani Privé. Crafted from sapphire-blue silk, the gown featured side cut-outs and crystal tassels cascading down the back, drawing inspiration from the Spring/Summer 2026 collection. Chopard jewellery completed one of the evening’s most elegant ensembles.

3. Joey King: Miu Miu’s dark romanticism

Joey King chose a custom-made Miu Miu gown in dark teal satin, featuring a contrasting black crepe neckline that added definition to the silhouette. Black tulle gloves and satin platform shoes enhanced an aesthetic that balanced classic Hollywood glamour with contemporary romanticism. Bvlgari jewellery provided the finishing touch.

4. Connor Storrie: Saint Laurent and a new vision of masculinity

Connor Storrie, star of Heated Rivalry, delivered one of the evening’s most compelling menswear moments. The actor wore an all-black Saint Laurent ensemble designed by Anthony Vaccarello, comprising a structured coat, high-waisted trousers and a silk blouse. Accessories by Tiffany & Co., including a brooch and several pieces of jewellery, added individuality to a look that challenged the conventions of traditional black-tie dressing.

5. Diego Calva: Contemporary luxury by LOEWE

Diego Calva once again demonstrated his affinity for luxury fashion by choosing LOEWE for the gala. The Mexican actor, who continues to establish himself as a prominent figure in Hollywood, worked with stylist Ilaria Urbinati to create his look. A Blancpain watch completed his appearance, highlighting the increasingly close relationship between contemporary menswear and fine watchmaking.

6. Taylor Zakhar Perez: Modern masculine elegance in Hollywood

Taylor Zakhar Perez also earned a place in our selection. Best known for his role in Red, White & Royal Blue, the actor joined a red carpet where a new generation of male performers once again asserted their presence in the world of fashion, demonstrating the growing influence of contemporary menswear within Hollywood’s style conversation.

7. Ana de Armas: The elegance of Louis Vuitton

Ana de Armas once again turned to Louis Vuitton for one of the most important evenings in the American film industry’s calendar. The Cuban-Spanish actress, who regularly wears creations by the French fashion house, opted for a look that reflected the balance between elegance and modernity that has become a defining feature of her public appearances.

8. Rosé: Sheer detailing and an oversized Saint Laurent bow

Rosé, a member of BLACKPINK, made her gala debut in a sheer black Saint Laurent gown designed under the creative direction of Anthony Vaccarello. The oversized bow adorning the bodice became the defining feature of the design. The singer completed her ensemble with Tiffany & Co. jewellery, further cementing her status as an international style icon.

9. Demi Moore: Sculptural minimalism by Standing Ground

Demi Moore rounded off our selection in a creation by Standing Ground, the fashion label renowned for exploring the sculptural possibilities of eveningwear. The actress once again embraced a design in which silhouette construction and intricate fabric manipulation took centre stage, moving away from the decorative excess often associated with traditional red-carpet dressing.
