Adele announces an indefinite hiatus after three years of live performances, seeking rest and new creative experiences.
The iconic British singer Adele has announced an indefinite hiatus from music, surprising her fans after a successful three-year streak of live shows. The news was confirmed by the artist herself during a recent performance, where she expressed her desire to take an extended break after her final residency dates in Las Vegas in October.
Adele shared with her audience that these three years of concerts have been “incredible,” but that she now wishes to dedicate time to her personal life. “I’ve spent the last seven years building a new life for myself, and now I want to live it,” said the singer, who recently confirmed her engagement to Rich Paul. While acknowledging that she is not the most comfortable artist on stage, she emphasized: “I’m very good at what I do, and I’ve enjoyed these almost three years of performances immensely, which is more than I’ve ever done, and probably more than I’ll ever do.”
Additionally, Adele revealed that she has no plans for new music on the horizon. “I want a big break after this, and I think I want to explore other creative facets, at least for a while,” she concluded.
