Milan brings together actresses, models and style icons this week, with front rows proving just as anticipated as the catwalks themselves.
Milan Fashion Week has once again transformed the Italian city into one of the world’s major meeting points for fashion, cinema and pop culture. As brands unveil their Spring/Summer 2027 collections, the front rows are once again becoming parallel catwalks, where some of the world’s most recognisable stars compete for the attention of photographers and social media.
PRADA was among the brands to kick off the week on 22 September, with a particularly star-studded front row. Guests included Uma Thurman, who attended alongside her daughter Maya Hawke, as well as Michelle Williams and Italian actress Benedetta Porcaroli.
The mother-and-daughter appearance became one of those moments that quickly transcends the show itself. Thurman and Hawke represent two different generations of Hollywood, as well as two distinct relationships with fashion, making them particularly compelling guests for the world’s leading houses.

As the shows continued, the list of familiar faces grew even longer. At Max Mara, the front row spotlight was shared between actresses, models and some of the names currently most closely associated with the fashion world.
Monica Bellucci once again demonstrated her close relationship with the major Italian fashion houses, while Sadie Sink and Hunter Schafer brought the presence of a new generation of actresses who have transformed red carpets and fashion events into another extension of their public image.
They were joined by Leighton Meester, Kelly Rutherford and Sara Sampaio, completing a guest list that perfectly reflects the combination major fashion brands are increasingly seeking: established stars, television icons, models and figures with significant digital influence.

Front rows stopped being simply the place from which buyers, press and invited guests watched the latest collections a long time ago. Today, they form an integral part of each show’s visual strategy.
Images of celebrities arriving at shows, posing before taking their seats or meeting other stars circulate almost simultaneously with the looks appearing on the catwalk.
