Alberto Caliri leads the new creative chapter of Missoni, focusing on elegance, versatility, and a more inclusive vision.
Alberto Caliri, who recently assumed the role of creative director at Missoni, is ushering in a fresh era for the Italian fashion house. Having been an integral part of the brand since 1998 and worked alongside Angela Missoni for over a decade, Caliri takes the helm with a clear vision: to offer a more refined and accessible fashion proposition for a diverse audience.

His debut collection for Pre-Fall 2025 reflects a shift away from vibrant graphics, embracing subtle elegance instead. With a relaxed, urban style, Caliri favours garments that blend comfort with sophistication, such as wrap coats, fluid suits, and buttonless blazers. Missoni’s iconic knitwear remains a key feature, but this time it appears with softer textures and more nuanced colours, underscoring the brand’s versatility.

The creative director has also embraced a more inclusive approach, aiming to appeal to different generations rather than focusing solely on a younger audience. The collection introduces new motifs and patterns that depart from the traditional zigzags, celebrating Missoni’s unique identity and rich heritage. Caliri encapsulates his vision with a clear statement: “The theme is us.”
