The figure skating champion joins the French house, strengthening the connection between sport, fashion and a new creative generation.
Louis Vuitton has officially announced Alysa Liu as its new global ambassador, marking a strategic move that bridges the world of luxury with elite sport. At just 20 years old, the skater joins the maison following a defining moment in her career: her standout performance at the 2026 Winter Olympics, where she secured two gold medals.
This achievement not only cemented her position within figure skating, but also made her the first American to win Olympic gold in the discipline in more than two decades. Beyond her technical mastery, Alysa Liu has captured global attention for her dynamic energy and distinctive visual identity, highlighted by details such as her signature striped hair, reinforcing her unique presence both on and off the ice.

This connection with the aesthetic of Louis Vuitton is no coincidence. Nicolas Ghesquière, Artistic Director of Women’s Collections, praised her individuality and her ability to represent a contemporary, confident and creative woman. For the house, Liu embodies a bold vision of femininity aligned with its current narrative.
During the Fall/Winter 2026 show, Liu opted for a denim look featuring the house’s iconic monogram, while at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party she elevated her style with a black dress detailed with metallic embellishments. These appearances further established her presence within the brand’s visual universe.
In her own words: “As a Louis Vuitton ambassador, I get to show my style, my strength and my softness, because I know that luxury lies in the details, and the same goes for choreographing a programme and designing a collection. Life is about connection, and Louis Vuitton has made me feel part of that. It’s a truly empowering feeling to be part of something so artistic.”
