Amber Heard shares sweet pictures with her daughter on the set of ‘Aquaman 2,’ revealing her life as a working mother.
In a gesture of transparency about her life as a working mother, Amber Heard shared a glimpse behind the scenes with her followers, revealing that her daughter, Oonagh, was present on the set of the movie “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.”
On Wednesday, January 3, the 37-year-old actress, known for her role as Mera in the DC film franchise, took to Instagram to express her gratitude to fans for the overwhelming support and love received during the release of “Aquaman 2.” She shared a series of photos, including a tender unpublished image of her bottle-feeding 2-year-old Oonagh inside her trailer on set.

In the photographs, Heard is dressed casually in a cozy sweater, jeans, and a white shirt, smiling back at her daughter. Heard’s iconic red hair, identifying her character Mera, is pulled back with a headband as she takes a break from filming. Another snapshot shows a close-up of the actress with her hair down in what appears to be the makeup trailer, and the last image portrays her having fun in a car with a puffy green coat and veins of makeup peeking out from her sunglasses.
Heard announced the birth of her daughter in July 2021, three months after Oonagh arrived in the world through surrogacy. The actress, known for keeping her private life personal, shared this news with her followers on Instagram, emphasizing the importance of making fundamental choices in women’s lives and expressing her desire for these choices to be normalized.
Over time, Heard has intermittently shared photos of her daughter on social media, striking a balance between her public and private life. The last post she made with Oonagh was in April 2022, to commemorate her daughter’s birthday.
Amid her life as a mother, Heard has also faced notable legal challenges, particularly in her relationship with her ex-husband, Johnny Depp. After a controversial trial in which Depp sued Heard for defamation, the jury ruled in favor of Depp in June 2022, awarding him $10 million in compensatory damages and $5 million in punitive damages. Simultaneously, Heard received $2 million in compensatory damages in her counterclaim.
Despite the jury’s decision, Heard filed an appeal in November 2022. However, the following month, she announced that she and Depp had reached an agreement after careful consideration.
After a social media hiatus post-trial, Heard returned to Instagram in June 2023, sharing a photo from the Taormina Film Festival. Her recent comeback to social media in January 2024 coincided with the release of “Aquaman 2” in theaters on Christmas Day in December 2023. In her latest post, in addition to expressing her gratitude, she shared an Instagram Story video showing her workout session for the movie.
