Ana Isabelle, a versatile artist rooted in family tradition, navigates Hollywood with resilience and artistic integrity, inspiring global audiences.

In an intimate and reflective conversation, Ana Isabelle shares her experiences and challenges in the world of art with Xmag, from her beginnings to her most recent projects. With the humility and passion that characterize her, we delve into her artistic and personal journey.

Early Motivations

“My parents are musicians and music teachers, so it’s a love for art that I carry in my blood,” confesses Ana Isabelle, making it clear that her passion for singing, dancing, and acting runs in the family.

Challenges in Artistic Training

The artist reveals that coming from a humble and hardworking family presented additional challenges: “I’ve had to work and fight extra hard to support myself, manage my constant education, and find stability within this artistic environment. The economic challenge was present for a long time, and I feel proud to have overcome it.”

Internationally, she faced discrimination because of her accent: “In Hollywood, my accent was a topic of conversation and discrimination for many years. However, today I use it to my advantage.”

The Industry in Puerto Rico

“In Puerto Rico, the music and labor industry is excellent and of high quality, the only thing is that the market is smaller compared to places like NYC and Spain,” she comments on the local landscape and opportunities.

Entry into Hollywood

With an impressive track record in Hollywood, Ana Isabelle highlights: “I’ve been in 7 movies in Hollywood, the biggest being ‘West Side Story’ directed by Steven Spielberg and the most recent ‘Killing Castro’ alongside Diego Boneta, Xolo Maridueña, and Al Pacino.” Her experience in this industry has taught her valuable lessons: “The biggest lesson is that no matter how high a man climbs, he must remain humble and simple.”

Passion for Acting

Ana Isabelle deeply enjoys acting: “I love creating and representing different beings. Having the opportunity to say and do things that I wouldn’t necessarily do. This has helped me a lot to know myself better and to have more empathy.”

Character in ‘Marbella’

About her role in the series ‘Marbella’, she shares: “My character, Katy, is an empowered, ambitious, loving, intelligent, and very leading woman. I love portraying her because she has strength and vulnerability at the same time.”

Musical Influences

“I have several and they change over time. Some constants have been: Celine Dion, Barbara Streisand, and Lady Gaga,” she mentions, reflecting the evolution of her influences.

Routine and Other Passions

“I see myself doing projects related to art. Right now, I work a lot as an actress and singer in different facets,” says Ana Isabelle, who also creates children’s music and enjoys simple activities like connecting with nature and spending time with family.

New Album ‘Meraki’

“Meraki represents maturity and a new opportunity to show my art and soul through music,” she explains about her recent album, highlighting the collaboration with talented friends and the time dedicated to its creation.

Significant Projects

“‘West Side Story,’ the movie, and the tribute to Rita Moreno have been two of the most powerful,” affirms Ana Isabelle, emphasizing the inspiration and learning she gained from working with Steven Spielberg and paying tribute to one of her idols.

Future Dreams

“I’m just getting started. I want to continue doing everything I do with greater evolution and mastery,” she says with determination, revealing her dream of starring in an original show on Broadway and a series in Hollywood, always with God and her family as pillars.

Ana Isabelle continues her journey with the same passion and dedication that have led her to success, showing that dreams, with effort and humility, can become reality.
