Anne Hathaway kicks off the promotional tour for The Odyssey in two striking red looks that celebrate her pregnancy and reaffirm her influence on contemporary fashion.

Anne Hathaway has officially begun promoting The Odyssey, the highly anticipated epic directed by Christopher Nolan, and she has already delivered one of the week’s most talked-about fashion moments. The actress was photographed on the streets of New York wearing two impeccable all-red ensembles that not only beautifully highlighted her pregnancy but also confirmed that this bold shade will remain one of the defining colours of the season.

The 43-year-old actress turned her first day of press appearances into a true style statement. For her opening look, she chose a design from Ashlyn’s Spring/Summer 2026 collection, featuring clean, contemporary lines that elegantly showcased her baby bump. She completed the outfit with sophisticated Aquazzura heels, Bvlgari jewellery and Krewe sunglasses, creating a polished and modern look that perfectly balanced luxury with understated elegance.

Later in the day, Hathaway remained faithful to the monochromatic theme, stepping out in a second red ensemble, also by Ashlyn, reinforcing the cohesive aesthetic of a day in which colour took centre stage. Fashion insiders were quick to praise both outfits, describing them as the perfect expression of the refined blend of elegance, minimalism and femininity that has come to define the actress’s personal style.

The promotional tour marks the beginning of one of the most significant projects of Hathaway’s recent career. In The Odyssey, the cinematic adaptation of Homer’s legendary epic poem, she stars as Penelope, the devoted wife of Odysseus, played by Matt Damon, and the mother of Telemachus, portrayed by Tom Holland.

Christopher Nolan’s latest production has been described as a sweeping mythological action epic that follows Odysseus on his long journey back to Ithaca after the Trojan War. The film also boasts one of the most impressive ensemble casts in recent years, featuring Zendaya, Jon Bernthal, Charlize Theron, Lupita Nyong’o, Robert Pattinson and several other acclaimed Hollywood stars.

The film is scheduled to be released in cinemas on 17 July, making it one of the year’s most eagerly awaited cinematic events.

Hathaway’s choice to wear red has also been interpreted by many fans as a subtle tribute to another milestone in her career. This year marks the 20th anniversary of The Devil Wears Prada, the film that transformed her into an international star when it premiered on 30 June 2006. Coinciding with this anniversary, the sequel has now begun its digital release, while its 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray editions are set to arrive shortly before becoming available on streaming platforms.
