The British actress embraced effortless style while promoting her upcoming Apple TV+ series, an intense thriller based on Marissa Stapley’s bestselling novel.

Anya Taylor-Joy has officially begun the countdown to the release of Lucky, one of Apple TV+‘s most highly anticipated series of the summer. The actress was recently spotted strolling through New York City with her husband, musician Malcolm McRae, in an outing that drew attention not only for her laid-back style but also for a subtle promotional nod to her latest television project.

The Golden Globe-winning actress, 30, stepped out wearing a green Lucky T-shirt while running errands around the city, giving fans an early glimpse of the series she will headline when it premieres later this month. She paired the top with classic blue jeans, once again showcasing the effortless, minimalist aesthetic that has become her signature away from the red carpet.

Alongside her, Malcolm McRae opted for a relaxed Americana-inspired look, wearing a denim shirt, light-wash jeans and cowboy boots. Together, the couple projected the understated style that has long defined their public appearances, despite the widespread fascination surrounding their relationship.

Although they have consistently kept their private life away from the spotlight, every public outing by the pair attracts considerable attention from fans of Anya Taylor-Joy, who has become one of the most acclaimed actresses of her generation thanks to standout performances in The Queen’s Gambit, Furiosa and The Menu.

This time, however, the real focus was Lucky, Apple’s latest original drama that will see Taylor-Joy take on a completely different kind of role. Based on Marissa Stapley’s bestselling novel, the series blends suspense, action and psychological drama in the story of a woman forced to fight for survival while running from her past.

Taylor-Joy stars as Lucky, a professional con artist whose life is turned upside down after an ambitious heist goes disastrously wrong. Suddenly hunted by both the FBI and a ruthless crime boss, she finds herself trapped in a desperate race against time where every decision could mean the difference between life and death.

Apple TV+ describes the series as a gripping thriller packed with tension, high-stakes chases and unexpected twists. Beyond its action-driven narrative, the story also explores one woman’s search for redemption as she attempts to leave behind the dangerous life that has always defined her.

The production also features an impressive ensemble cast including Annette Bening, Timothy Olyphant, Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, Drew Starkey, Clifton Collins Jr. and William Fichtner, further raising expectations for what is already shaping up to be one of the platform’s biggest releases of the year.

Lucky will premiere on Apple TV+ on 15 July, launching with its first two episodes. New instalments will then be released every Wednesday, with the season concluding on 19 August, following the platform’s weekly rollout strategy designed to keep audiences engaged throughout the summer.
