After his debut albums ‘Midnight Blue (Love Streaming)’ and ‘Waterfall’, B.I talks about the creation of his next album and is eager to share it with his fans
After starting his career in a group, B.I began his solo career, debuting in 2021 with albums such as ‘Midnight Blue (Love Streaming)’ and ‘Waterfall’. He has also collaborated throughout his career on tracks like ‘Whistle’ of the popular female k-pop band Blackpink.
“Youth.” That is the word the South Korean singer uses to sum up the four years he has spent creating music as a solo artist, explaining that most of his songs are about youth and the emotions of love felt during those times. Currently in the process of releasing his third album, B.I is eager to share the songs he has prepared and hopes his listeners are excited to hear them. The impact his music has on his fans is something very important to the artist: “I hope my music has a positive impact. If my fans can find value, joy, and happiness through my songs, I would consider myself a successful artist. I always strive to give back some of the love that they’ve given me.”

B.I has achieved incredible success as a soloist, with over 1 million monthly listeners on Spotify, but he admits there are still challenges ahead: “It seems there are endless areas of challenge throughout my musical career. But if I had to choose one, it would be the desire to perform in cities I haven’t visited yet and to challenge myself by exploring a wider world.” This year, the artist toured several countries, from Asia to Europe, and according to him, these fresh and exciting experiences inspire him and encourage him to grow more as an artist. The Beatles are also one of his major inspirations when it comes to creating, due to the impact their songs have had on how he thinks and writes his own music.

Fashion is another key element in B.I’s music, as it adds a visual touch: “Although people experience my music through their ears, fashion helps me convey the atmosphere of the song more tangibly.” However, fashion is something the artist doesn’t place too much importance on in his daily life: “It just feels natural. I tend to follow styles that I like and that I feel comfortable with.” “Natural,” “Freedom,” and “Limitless” are the three words the singer would use to describe his personal style, and although he experiments with different styles on stage to enhance his musical performances, in everyday life, he prefers comfortable and effortless fashion.
