The Bonhams auction in New York will offer for the first time iconic clothing from John F. Kennedy Jr., including pieces from Calvin Klein.

For the first time, clothing that belonged to John F. Kennedy Jr. will be auctioned at an event organized by Bonhams in New York. This auction features iconic pieces from his 1990s wardrobe, such as a Calvin Klein tuxedo, a two-piece suit, and a Giorgio Armani overcoat. These items reflect JFK Jr.’s relaxed yet sophisticated style, as he was an influential figure in men’s fashion of his time.

The Calvin Klein pieces hold additional sentimental value, as they are linked to the beginning of his relationship with Carolyn Bessette, who worked for the brand at the time. The couple met in 1992, and the items are being offered by Sasha Chermayeff, a childhood friend of Kennedy.

The auction also coincides with the sale of Jackie Kennedy Onassis’s Valentino wedding dress, adding further interest to the event. JFK Jr.’s pieces are expected to fetch much higher prices than their initial estimate of $2,000 to $3,000, given their historical significance and the interest in the Kennedy figure.

JFK Jr.’s style, which blended elegance with a casual touch, continues to influence current men’s fashion, especially in the realm of street style.
