BTS brings Diesel to the stage of its ARIRANG world tour with seven custom looks combining denim, leather and experimentation.
BTS turned one of the stops on its new tour into a major fashion showcase. During the concert held in Chicago on 27 August as part of the BTS WORLD TOUR ‘ARIRANG’, all seven members took to the stage wearing custom Diesel looks specially designed by the brand’s creative director, Glenn Martens.
The collection draws on some of the codes that have defined Martens’ tenure at Diesel: exaggerated proportions, distressed surfaces, experimental treatments and a constant reinvention of denim. However, each outfit was conceived to reflect the individual personality of RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V and Jung Kook.

RM opted for an oversized denim suit created using the house’s dévoré technique, producing an intensely distressed effect. Jin, meanwhile, reinterpreted traditional tailoring with a generously proportioned black leather suit paired with a long-sleeved T-shirt.
Leather also took centre stage in SUGA’s outfit. He wore a sculptural jacket defined by pronounced creases and three-dimensional volume, while j-hope appeared in a painted biker jacket treated to create a stone-like surface, accompanied by trousers inspired by technical motorcycle clothing.

For Jimin, Diesel created a black coated-denim trench coat with matching trousers and an off-white sleeveless top. V offered the lightest interpretation of the concept, wearing an off-white coated-denim trench coat, coordinating jeans and a dévoré tank top treated to create the illusion of partially burnt fabric.
Jung Kook completed the series of custom looks with a painted leather jacket and matching trousers, both heavily creased to produce another distinctive stone-like texture.
