The Burberry Summer 2024 collection, helmed by Daniel Lee, reinvents the classic trench coat with modern details and elegant accessories.

Burberry‘s Curated Edits series, following the Summer 2024 collection under the creative direction of Daniel Lee, focuses on an innovative reinterpretation of Burberry’s classic trench coat. Crafted from cotton gabardine reminiscent of the 1940s and combined with the traditional water-resistant gabardine, these coats are a modern take on a timeless piece. Featuring contrasting threads and lined with the iconic Burberry Check, these trench coats showcase modern updates such as detachable belts, exaggerated shoulder pads, and raglan sleeves.

The accessories in the collection are also carefully curated. The Rocking Horse bag stands out, designed to transition from a shoulder style to a crossbody. Alongside the Shield messenger and Knight bag, it draws inspiration from the Equestrian Knight design dating back to around 1901.

In ready-to-wear, Burberry gives a fresh twist to its archetypal patterns with new prints and configurations. This collection incorporates the classic check in hues of hunter, white, black, and Knight Blue across a variety of garments including t-shirts, skirts, and polo shirts. Unique to this season are motifs adorned with summer fruit crystals and hardware-inspired artwork decorating lightweight shirts and shorts.

Footwear and jewelry round out the collection with the new Bay sandals and Box sneakers offering refined and casual options, crafted in Italy with the finest leather and also featuring Burberry’s Equestrian Knight design. Meanwhile, the jewelry line continues the equestrian theme with shield-shaped earrings and spiked chain necklaces set with an array of gems, including citrine and onyx, enhancing the luxurious spirit of the collection.
