The prestigious fashion house, Louis Vuitton, is turning its attention to the world of tennis by appointing Carlos Alcaraz as its new ambassador.

Following his successful runway show at the latest Paris Men’s Fashion Week, which marked the debut of the versatile Pharrell Williams as the creative director of menswear, Louis Vuitton is expanding its list of iconic ambassadors.

On this occasion, the renowned French brand has partnered with the youngest tennis player to reach the world number 1 ranking, the talented Carlos Alcaraz, hailing from Murcia. Starting from June 28, this elite athlete will become the face of menswear for the fashion house, sharing “the same philosophy of effort and excellence.”

“I feel very proud, to be honest. We could even say that it’s a dream for me to be part of the Louis Vuitton family,” said the 20-year-old.

This is not the first time Alcaraz has ventured into the world of fashion. Earlier this year, the tennis player starred in one of the episodes of the “Calvins or nothing” campaign by the renowned American brand Calvin Klein.

On the other hand, the luxury brand has also collaborated with major stars in the past. Just a few months ago, they signed influential actress Zendaya as the face of their Capucines bag campaign. Additionally, they have recently partnered with the talented singer and actress Rihanna, who was the face of their latest advertising campaign for the Paris Men’s Fashion Week.

Founded in 1854, the Paris-based maison is part of the brand portfolio of the luxury conglomerate LVMH. According to their most recent financial results, the group, which is currently engaged in important negotiations regarding the sponsorship of the 2024 Paris Olympics, has experienced a 17% increase in revenue during the 2022 fiscal year, reaching the figure of 79.2 billion euros.
