Christian Louboutin and Maison Margiela reinvent footwear with a bold collaboration that merges craftsmanship, innovation, and deconstruction into avant-garde designs.

Christian Louboutin and Maison Margiela have joined forces in a groundbreaking collaboration that pushes the boundaries of footwear design. The capsule collection, first unveiled as part of Maison Margiela’s 2024 Artisanal line, will officially launch on 12 March 2025 and will be available in selected boutiques and digital platforms of both houses.

Comprising two lines, Maison Margiela by Christian Louboutin and Christian Louboutin by Maison Margiela, the collection reinterprets iconic elements of both brands, blending Louboutin’s structural precision with Margiela’s avant-garde aesthetic. The iconic Tabi takes on a more sensual silhouette, while Louboutin’s designs are deconstructed using the decortiqué technique.

Among the standout pieces, the Bridiela Una Strass reimagines bridal footwear with hand-crafted crystals, the Loubiella sandal highlights the architecture of the foot with asymmetric straps, and the Marlougiela reinvents the Tabi in a ballet-inspired version. The collection also introduces the Xrismarteen, a boot with a collapsed leather effect that epitomises deconstruction at its finest.

This collaboration, born from the friendship between John Galliano and Christian Louboutin, celebrates experimentation and artistry in footwear, redefining the codes of contemporary fashion.
