SEVENTEEN’s subunit CxM storms the charts with its debut, earning the top spot on Billboard as K-pop’s latest global sensation.

The unstoppable machinery of K-pop claims another victory. CxM, the subunit formed by S.COUPS and MINGYU of SEVENTEEN, has debuted straight at No. 1 on the Billboard Emerging Artists Chart thanks to the overwhelming success of their first EP, ‘Hype Vibes’.

Released digitally on 29 September and physically on 10 October, the mini album has reached No. 2 on World Albums and No. 71 on the Billboard 200, amassing 13,000 equivalent units — almost all from pure sales. This achievement also secured them the No. 5 spot on Top Album Sales, proving their debut to be not only spectacular but solid.

CxM thus becomes the third SEVENTEEN subunit to conquer Billboard’s charts, following in the footsteps of BSS and HxW, and the fifth act to top Emerging Artists in 2025, alongside names like ZEROBASEONE and Calum Hood.

Beyond the numbers, the CxM phenomenon embodies a new wave of modern fandom, artistic identity, and cultural expansion.
