Jennifer Lawrence will be honoured with the prestigious Donostia Award at the San Sebastián Film Festival, where she will also present her new film, ‘Die My Love’, alongside Robert Pattinson.
At the 2025 edition of the festival, the American actress will be recognised for her outstanding career in cinema. Jennifer Lawrence will travel to the Basque city to accept the accolade before unveiling her latest project, directed by Lynne Ramsay and co-starring Robert Pattinson.
The film, set in rural America, portrays the turbulent story of Grace, a young mother and writer who descends into a spiral of love and madness. The cast also includes LaKeith Stanfield, Nick Nolte and Sissy Spacek, with heavyweight names such as Martin Scorsese and Black Label Media backing the production.
Acquired by Mubi in a $24 million deal following its premiere at Cannes, Die My Love is set for a theatrical release across 1,500 screens worldwide, including Spain. Early reviews have praised Lawrence’s commanding performance and Ramsay’s hypnotic direction, positioning the film as a strong contender in the upcoming awards season.
The San Sebastián Film Festival will run from 19 to 27 September, reaffirming its status as one of Europe’s most significant cinematic gatherings.
