‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ breaks box office records, becoming the highest-grossing R-rated film of all time.

‘Deadpool & Wolverine,’ the highly anticipated crossover starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, has made cinematic history by becoming the highest-grossing R-rated movie of all time. In just 23 days, the Marvel film has grossed $1.086 billion worldwide, surpassing the record previously held by Joker since 2019, with $1.078 billion.

Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige shared his excitement: “Thank you for making Marvel Studios’ first R-rated film the biggest of all time. It’s incredible to see how audiences are enjoying this movie as much as we enjoyed making it. All the effort has been worth it.”

This success also marks a milestone for Disney in 2024, being the studio’s second film to surpass the billion-dollar mark at the box office, following Inside Out 2 ($1.558 billion). Additionally, ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ becomes Disney’s 31st film and the 11th Marvel Cinematic Universe film to reach this impressive figure, further solidifying the global impact of Marvel’s superheroes.
