Dior is doubling down on Thai talent with Lingling and Orm, two rising stars whose global influence is reshaping Asian representation in international fashion.

The luxury industry is once again turning its gaze towards Thailand. Dior has officially announced the appointment of Sirilak Kwong, known as Lingling, and Kornnaphat Sethratanapong, known as Orm, as its new ambassadors — a move that confirms the international reach of Thai drama stars and their growing impact on the global entertainment and fashion landscape.

The duo, known to fans as LingOrm, gained worldwide recognition with the series ‘The Secret of Us’, later cementing their impact with ‘Only You’ — two productions that propelled the expansion of the GL genre and turned both actresses into icons for an increasingly large global community.

Dior has described the actresses as “a captivating duo that embodies the spirit of freedom and the reinvented elegance of the house,” a statement that reflects the brand’s strategic commitment to the so-called Thai Wave. Their presence at Paris Fashion Week has been pivotal: they made their debut at Dior’s March show and returned in October for the launch of Jonathan Anderson’s womenswear collection. That second trip was a landmark moment. According to a report by Karla Otto, Lefty and CTZAR, for the first time Thai actresses surpassed K-pop stars in generated media value. The secret lay in the formula: posting with intensity and consistency. Together, they produced 50 Dior-related posts, generating exceptional engagement and dominating Spring 2026’s earned media rankings.

The numbers speak for themselves. Orm topped the global ranking with $23.5 million in EMV, while Lingling followed closely with $21.5 million — a clear demonstration of their international power.

Lingling, born in Hong Kong and raised between China and Thailand, is multilingual and began her career in beauty pageants before signing with Channel 3. Alongside her work as an actress, she is an ambassador for brands such as Korean label Hera and runs her own business project, Always Wonder, while amassing 2.7 million followers on Instagram. She says she is particularly proud to be joining Dior under Anderson’s creative direction and deeply admires his artistic vision.

Orm, daughter of renowned Thai actress Koy Narumon Phongsuphap, began her career in 2019 and has since become a familiar face in Channel 3 dramas. With 2.4 million followers and her own fashion brand, Keep Silent, she sees this appointment as a decisive step forward and an opportunity closely aligned with her respect for the maison’s legacy.

The phenomenon continues to grow. Channel 3 has already confirmed that Lingling and Orm will co-star in a new series, an adaptation of the novel ‘Wad Fun Wan Wiwa’, set to premiere next year.

Dior was one of the first French houses to recognise the strength of Thai talent. In 2023, it enlisted Nattawin Wattanagitiphat (Apo) and Phakphum Romsaithong (Mile) as male ambassadors, reinforcing a strategy now bolstered by Lingling and Orm — a move that firmly positions Thailand at the centre of the global fashion conversation.
