Dior presents its 2024 cruise collection, inspired by Mary Stuart, merging historical elegance with modernity in a stunning Scottish setting.

Dior has launched its latest cruise collection, led by the talented Maria Grazia Chiuri, which draws inspiration from the historical figure of Mary Stuart. The fashion show took place at the spectacular Drummond Castle in Scotland, under clear skies that contrasted with the dramatic approach of the advertising campaign.

The collection combines elements of Scottish heritage with contemporary details. The designs feature luxurious velvets and delicate lace, all inspired by equestrian fashion. The taffeta ball skirts and embroidered dresses evoke the elegance of the Renaissance, creating a bridge between the past and the present.

Brigitte Niedermair was responsible for capturing this essence in a series of vibrant images, where models like Tanya Churbanova and Sanija Dalecka showcase looks that reflect a fusion of tradition and modernity. Churbanova, for instance, shines in a purple tartan coat, while Dalecka honors the house’s heritage with a top featuring the founder, Christian Dior.

The collection also includes iconic accessories, such as the Lady Dior bag and D-Fight boots, completing a tribute to the resilience and rebellious spirit of Mary Stuart, a figure who continues to inspire current generations.
