The exhibition ‘Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams’ arrives in Seoul from April 19 to July 13.
After stops in China and Japan, the ‘Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams’ exhibition is coming to Seoul. This event, which will take place at the Dongdaemun Design Plaza, an innovative cultural hub designed by architect Zaha Hadid, will be open to the public from April 19 to July 13.
The exhibition, which debuted at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris in 2017 to celebrate the brand’s 70th anniversary, pays tribute to Christian Dior’s love for flowers and gardens, the work of the haute couture workshops in Paris, and the tradition of dressing women for exceptional events. A special space will be dedicated to the iconic Lady Dior bag, with customisations by Korean artists as part of the annual Dior Lady Art project.

The exhibition will also feature rooms dedicated to the house’s perfumes, with dresses worn by fragrance ambassadors such as Rihanna for J’adore and Natalie Portman for Miss Dior. For this occasion, Dior will renew its collaboration with Ewha Womans University, reinforcing its commitment to inclusion and the empowerment of women.
With previous stops in cities like Paris, New York, and Tokyo, the retrospective has been a global success and is expected to continue being a cultural milestone in Seoul.
