Anthony Vaccarello once again leaves us speechless with his new Spring 2024 menswear collection for Saint Laurent: Each man kills the thing he loves.

Vaccarello brought forth a collection filled with thoughtful and concise designs, aiming to strip away the fuss for the perfect distillation of 50 looks. The perfect tension between tailleur and flou, that is, between suiting and soft, light, fluid, and sensual dresses. And in Vaccarello’s hands, they work just as well for men as they do for women.

“I started building the collection around the shape of women’s clothing that men are now wearing,” Vaccarello said. “Starting from a very classic place and then playing with the codes of masculinity.”

This exchange between his women and his men manifested in delicate satin garments with deep necklines beneath powerful jackets, matching high-waisted trousers cut slim and narrow at the waist, and cropped at the ankles to showcase tall, chunky-heeled boots.

With leopard spots or polka dots, sensually wrapped shirts or one-shoulder tops, bowtie necklines trailing to the floor like veils. Black sweatshirts transformed into Haute Couture evening looks, draped over the shoulders, and a relaxed new version of smoking pants.

All of this was enveloped by looks that opened and closed the show with sublime tuxedos, following the impressively fitted and spacious line with the broadness of their jacket shoulders and the narrowness of the pants.
