Ellen Pompeo stars in Good American Family, Hulu’s chilling series inspired by the real-life mystery of Natalia Grace.

Behind every gripping crime thriller, there is often an even more disturbing true story. Good American Family, Hulu’s latest miniseries, draws inspiration from a case that shocked many: the adoption of Natalia Grace by the Barnett family, a story that blurs the line between reality and fiction.

The series follows a Midwestern couple in the United States who adopt a young girl with a rare form of dwarfism. However, as they raise her alongside their three biological children, questions about her true age and mysterious past begin to surface. What started as an act of love spirals into a legal and media nightmare.

Ellen Pompeo, best known for her role in Grey’s Anatomy, plays Kristine Barnett, while Mark Duplass portrays Michael Barnett. Imogen Faith Reid takes on the challenging role of Natalia Grace, the girl whose identity sparks so much mystery. The cast also features Dulé Hill, Christina Hendricks, Sarayu Blue, and Jenny O’Hara in pivotal supporting roles.

The first two episodes of Good American Family will be available on Hulu from 19th March 2025. The series promises to explore every aspect of this chilling tale, unearthing hidden truths and examining the consequences of this controversial case.
