First Look at Cillian Murphy as Tom Shelby in the ‘Peaky Blinders’ Movie

Netflix has revealed the first images of Cillian Murphy as Tom Shelby in the highly anticipated Peaky Blinders movie.

Tom Shelby is back in action! Netflix has shared the first images on social media of Cillian Murphy reprising his iconic role as the infamous gangster in the upcoming Peaky Blinders film. Both Murphy and creator Steven Knight are teaming up once again to bring fans a new story about the Peaky Blinders gang, set in post-World War I Birmingham. The images feature Murphy dressed as Shelby and a shot alongside Knight.

The film will be directed by Tom Harper, who previously directed several episodes of the series. The project was confirmed in June of this year. The series concluded its sixth and final season in 2022, after its debut in 2013. Murphy commented at the time: “It seems Tommy Shelby wasn’t finished with me… It’s very rewarding to be working again with Steven Knight and Tom Harper on the cinematic version of Peaky Blinders. This one is for the fans.”

Although few details are known so far, it was recently announced that Barry Keoghan has joined the cast, though his role remains a mystery. Take a look at the first behind-the-scenes images below.
