The first teaser for ‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’ offers a long-awaited reunion between Miranda Priestly and Andy Sachs, two decades after their iconic debut.

The Devil Wears Prada universe is officially back. Disney has released the first trailer for ‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’, a sequel arriving twenty years after the original film, bringing together its legendary cast once again.

The 52-second teaser opens with Meryl Streep reprising her role as the formidable Miranda Priestly, striding through the Runway offices in red stilettos that echo her power and precision. When she steps into the lift, she comes face to face with Anne Hathaway, returning as Andy Sachs, her former assistant. Miranda looks her up and down and declares, “Took you long enough.” Andy smirks and slides on her sunglasses — a brief moment that rekindles the chemistry that once captivated millions.

The sequel follows Priestly at a critical juncture: in a world where print is dying and the industry is rapidly evolving, Miranda must fight to retain her influence while clashing with Emily Charlton (played by Emily Blunt), now a high-ranking executive within a luxury conglomerate whose advertising revenue Runway desperately needs.

The original 2006 film told the story of young Andy trying to make her way in journalism while facing the impossible demands of the Runway editor-in-chief. Grossing over $326 million worldwide, it became a cultural touchstone and a defining piece of fashion cinema.

The new instalment reunites Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, Stanley Tucci, Tracie Thoms, and Tibor Feldman. New additions to the cast include Kenneth Branagh as Miranda’s husband and Simone Ashley in a yet-undisclosed role. Variety has also confirmed the participation of Lucy Liu, B.J. Novak, Justin Theroux, and Pauline Chalamet. Patrick Brammall joins as Andy’s new love interest, while Rachel Bloom takes on a secret role.

One notable absence is confirmed: Adrian Grenier, who played Nate in the first film, will not return for the sequel.
