Harris Reed’s ‘GILDED’ redefines luxury with punk armour, exposed vulnerability, and artisanal collaborations in gold and electric blue.
In a world of constant chaos, Harris Reed unveils the February 2025 collection, ‘GILDED’, drawing inspiration from punk counterculture to challenge norms with a bold, unapologetic vision. The collection redefines luxury by merging architectural structures with a rebellious spirit, creating pieces that not only take up space but demand to be seen and heard.
The garments evoke a sense of armour, offering protection through corsets transformed into breastplates and crinolines that function as protective cages. In collaboration with British luxury brand Porta Romana, Reed incorporates elements inspired by its iconic Urchin lamp, using organically shaped fronds modelled in 3D and hand-painted in engraved gold or electric blue.
Vulnerability becomes strength as structures that would typically remain hidden are proudly exposed, accentuating the body’s curves with hand-painted details and gold leaf embellishments. Crinoline cages and corsets are no longer mere undergarments but take centre stage as statement pieces.

The collection blends opaque deadstock wools with fluid chiffon and tulle, incorporating archival embroidery that adds light and texture. Every piece has been crafted in the UK, from Porta Romana’s workshops in Surrey to the London ateliers of Harris Reed, Roker, and Vivienne Lake.

Among the notable attendees were Alisha Boe, Florence Pugh, and Tsunaina, who admired the bravery and sophistication of ‘GILDED’.
