Giambattista Valli and his collection inspired by the French Riviera

The enchantment of the French Riviera has captivated Giambattista Valli this season, and we have seen it in his Resort 2024 collection.

Valli’s clientele is elegant and “nomadic,” as he puts it, and Resort is the time of year when weddings and celebrations abound worldwide.

The collection had a theme that came as a fresh breeze with a whimsical touch, highlighted by a variety of delightful botanical motifs in fresh colours printed on lightweight and feminine fabrics.

There were also bolder options for those younger generations who, as Valli says, “don’t want to be walking billboards for logos.” In other words, we saw looks for every taste, from short and fitted dresses to long and flowing ones. What tied it all together was the grace with which the designer infused his creations. He said, “the weight of lightness, that’s the feeling I wanted to convey.”
