Gucci unveils its Autumn 2025 collection following the departure of Sabato De Sarno, marking a transition in its creative identity.

The Italian fashion house presented its Autumn 2025 collection at Milan Fashion Week during a period of uncertainty following the recent exit of its creative director, Sabato De Sarno. Although the collection was designed before his departure, it reflects stylistic continuity as the brand prepares for a possible creative shift.

The runway showcased pieces that blend Gucci’s classic elegance with contemporary touches. Standout looks included fur coats, tailored suits, and below-the-knee skirts paired with tights, adding a youthful edge. The colour palette featured shades of brown and grey, contrasted with vibrant hues such as orange, purple, and green.

De Sarno’s sudden departure has raised questions about Gucci’s future. His attempt to modernise the brand with more commercial designs failed to boost sales, which dropped by 25% in the third quarter of 2024. As Gucci searches for a new creative leader, this collection serves as a bridge between its heritage and an uncertain future.
