Gwyneth Paltrow takes on the challenge of choosing between three former co-stars and ends up breaking all the rules.
In a new episode of The goop Podcast, aired on 22 July, Gwyneth Paltrow surprised her listeners by facing a question as uncomfortable as it was amusing: which of her former co-stars would she kill, marry, or sleep with?
The 52-year-old actress didn’t shy away from the challenge and eagerly played the popular “fuck, marry, kill” game, but with a selection of names that would make anyone sweat: Robert Downey Jr., Jude Law, and Timothée Chalamet. The choice, as she herself admitted, seemed “impossible”, but she didn’t take long to reveal her first decision.
“I’d marry Robert because we’d laugh a lot and have a fun, weird life, travelling… and besides, I’m basically already married to him in the films, so what’s the difference?” she said with a laugh, referring to her on-screen connection with the iconic Marvel universe’s Iron Man.
When it came to choosing between Law and Chalamet, Paltrow was more cautious. “Who am I going to sleep with, guys? Jude or Timothée Chalamet? It’s very difficult,” she confessed, acknowledging that she found both adorable. In the end, she opted for Jude Law, though with a hilarious explanation: “I guess it’d have to be Jude, just because if I did it with Timothée it would be like stealing from the cradle, honestly. I think my kids would kill me if I did that.”
But when it came to ‘killing’ one of them, the actress flatly refused. “I’m not going to say it. I love all three. I’m going to marry and sleep with all three. How’s that sound? I’m a modern woman. I’m not killing anyone,” she declared, breaking the rules of the game and earning a virtual round of applause for her politically incorrect yet endearing response.
The episode, full of anecdotes and laughter, ended with Paltrow announcing that the podcast would return in September, leaving her audience wanting more confessions like this. Without a doubt, the actress shows once again that she knows how to laugh at herself, handle awkward questions with ease, and keep us hooked with her unfiltered charm.
