The singer-songwriter scores a double No.1 with his new single, leading the US and UK charts just hours after its debut.

Harry Styles has done it again — and this time, twice over. The British pop icon celebrates his 32nd birthday week with ‘Aperture’, the lead single from his upcoming album ‘Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally’, debuting at No.1 on both the Billboard Hot 100 and the UK Official Charts.

The single marks Styles’ third Hot 100 chart-topper, and his second to land directly at No.1, following ‘As It Was’, which reigned for 15 consecutive weeks in 2022. His first chart-topper, ‘Watermelon Sugar’, briefly held the position in 2020. Meanwhile, back home in the UK, ‘Aperture’ soared straight to the top, making it one of the most streamed and aired songs of the week.

Released on 22 January at 7 p.m. ET, and accompanied by its official video premiere the following day, ‘Aperture’ opened with 18.2 million official streams, 27.1 million in radio airplay audience, and 4,000 sales in the United States alone during its first full week. It launches at No.1 on the Streaming Songs chart, lands at No.19 on Radio Songs (tying his previous highest debut), and enters at No.4 on Digital Song Sales.

The track is now officially the 1,186th song to reach No.1 on the Billboard Hot 100, and only the 88th to debut directly at the summit.

Set for release on 6 March, ‘Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally’ will be Styles’ fourth studio album. His previous three — ‘Harry’s House’, ‘Fine Line’ and ‘Harry Styles’ — all debuted at No.1 on the Billboard 200, solidifying his transatlantic superstardom.
