HBO’s ‘Harry Potter’ series casts new Harry, Ron, and Hermione, reigniting Hogwarts magic with a talented new generation.

HBO has unveiled the fresh faces set to bring the magic of Harry Potter back to life. The highly anticipated series, based on J.K. Rowling’s beloved books, will star Dominic McLaughlin as Harry Potter, Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger, and Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley. These talented newcomers were chosen from over 30,000 hopefuls during an open casting call.

Filming is set to begin this summer, promising to reintroduce audiences to Hogwarts with a brand-new generation. McLaughlin, known for his role in the comedy ‘Grow’, Stanton, acclaimed for her portrayal of Matilda in ‘Matilda: The Musical’, and Stout, making his major debut, are the trio leading this ambitious production.

Joining them are celebrated actors including John Lithgow (Dumbledore), Janet McTeer (McGonagall), and Paapa Essiedu (Snape), ensuring a stellar ensemble. The series is helmed by showrunner Francesca Gardiner, with Mark Mylod directing multiple episodes, in partnership with Warner Bros. Television.
