Hilary Duff appeared on Good Guys and spoke about her musical hiatus, changes in the industry, and the challenge of balancing her career.
On January 26, Hilary Duff was a guest on Good Guys, the podcast hosted by Josh Peck and Ben Soffer, where she discussed her music career and the reasons she hasn’t released new music in recent years.
“It’s not something I’ve been working on recently,” Duff said, explaining that while she wants to return to music, the industry has changed a lot since her last album. She also mentioned that, despite living with her husband, Matthew Koma—a talented musician and producer—it’s not as simple as just heading into the studio after putting her kids to bed.
“Someone told me, ‘You can film an entire TV series, but you can’t make a record,’” she shared, highlighting the challenges of balancing her professional life with motherhood. Although she misses that part of her career, she’s unsure when she’ll get back to making music.
Her last album, Breathe In. Breathe Out., was released in 2015, and since then, she has focused on her acting career and family. Despite the uncertainty, her fans remain hopeful that she will return to the studio in the future.
